Agricultural Policy Ministry offers to cancel sunflower oil export quotation

The Agrarian Policy Ministry along with the Economics Ministry worked out a Cabinet's draft resolution suggesting cancellation of sunflower seeds and sunflower oil export till July 1, but to keep the licensing procedure only, a statement of the UkrOliyaProm association says.

From its part, UkrOliyaProm proposed to simplify the production export certification as related to cancellation of compulsory delivering of copies of the Agricultural Policy Ministry's reference on the availability of production volumes or extension of term of early issued references till July 1.

According to experts, the requirement to present the references for export certification restricts rights of the foreign economic activity agents and creates unjustified restrictions for exporters.

Apart from this, UkrOliyaProm prepared an address to the President, Prime Minister and NSDC Secretary asking to abolish quotation and licensing of the sunflower oil export.

The Cabinet of Ministers introduced March 22 quotation of the sunflower seeds and sunflower oil export to the extent of 300,000 tons and 1,000 ton till July, 2008.
